I am here looking for this exact scenario. Four years ago I got a systemic case of Poison Oak and had to take steroids to cure it. My eyelids, groin, hips, forearms, thighs and hips were the most affected with random outcroppings elsewhere. Last week I caught a 24 hour bug that made me nauseous and prevented me from eating for a day. I woke up the next moring with rash on my groin and eyelids. It has since gone from there and moved to my hips, thighs and forearms. I would guess that it's some form of hives, but it is freaky how it is affecting the same areas. Lastly, I must admit that the discomfort this time is much much less than the Poison Oak 4 years ago, the rash is just bumps and none of it is weeping and fluid.
