Wow - poison ivy is pretty hard to get on the palms of hands or soles of the feet. This is due to the fact that the skin is much thicker there. Urushiol bonds with a lower layer and its that protein that is consider the foreign invader. The thicker skin of the palms and soles of the feet make it extremely difficult for the urushiol to penetrate and bond to cause the allergic reaction.

With that said, a reaction to poison ivy is a delayed allergic reaction. You'll need to treat the symptoms and wait the time for healing. Make sure that the rash is clean and dry. This is the most important thing you can do. Find a treatment that works for you. It seems that what works for one doesn't work for another. Me? I'm of the ignore it and it'll go away crowd which I don't recommend for others.

For the heals - if it doesn't clear up soon, I would definitely see a doctor.
