well, i'm not sure where to begin exactly. i was working as a lifeguard at 4h camp this summer when i first came into contact with THE ITCH. that was over 3 months ago. i have been to a total of 4 doctors, 5 times.. (including a trip to the emergency room), been on steroids three times and numerous other medications. i finally improved after pouring bleach on my arms and legs a bit and then things seem to be over. or so it seemed.
about 4 weeks ago, i got a different kind of itch and was convinced it was scabies.. although a skin scrape and biopsy came out negative for scabies, i used the medicine(permethrin) anyway, thinking the doctors were wrong and this would at least bring some relief to my itchy hell. wrong. i think i only inflamed the poison ivy i still had deep in my skin, because the rash is back where i had it before...
i'm still not sure what exactly is wrong with me, but i know my sanity is in grave danger!! PLEASE respond if you have any tips! |
