Hi Patty..you would need to give more info and be very specific as to what the plant looks like. Lots of plants look like what you said. I am thinking it may be a plant in the deadly nightshade family--which are poisonous only if ingested. One thing for sure, it is not poison ivy. It doesn't have to be poisonous to give you a rash. Some plants just have sap that is irritating to certain individuals, and when you trim, cut, or bruise them the juices are exposed. Next time you do yard work, be sure to have your skin covered, wear gloves, and wash very thoroughly with a grease cutting soap so you can avoid these rashes. I get them also from regular weeds and plants if I am not careful. Sorry I couldn't help indentify the plant but your description is too vague. |
