I hate to disagree, but PI doesn't always take 3-10 days to show up. I started itching within 4 hours and had the rash by the next morning. I am sure it is PI and not some other type of rash or contact dermatitis (PI remedies such as Zanfel are helping). I knew there was PI coming through the fence between my and my neighbor's yard (after getting an EXTREMELY severe case several years ago.) Since I hadn't had it for awhile, I got a little lazy with the precautions. My neighbor told me he had gotten it by the roots, but I did some work behind the fence and it was mixed in with some weeds. I took a cool shower within 45 minutes, but still have quite a nasty case on both arms. I am extremely sensitive to it.
I do agree she needs to see a doctor but remember that sex doesn't mean just intercourse. It's very possible he had the oil on his hands and that's how it was transferred to her privates.
