Jeff, I understand you don't want to invest a lot of money to get this cleaned up. At the most you would spend $12 for materials which believe me is nothing if you get a rash again (one small Zanfel for poison ivy is $30 not to mention the misery you go thru.) It is very simple to do, stand there and spray the soapy solution. Plus you can reuse the ingredients and the sprayer for parts of your lawn you want to thrive. Those hose end sprayers are great for lots of outside chores.
Will the rain or snow take care of it? Hardly. Water is chemically a solvent but we all know water and oil don't mix, just like you can't get a frying pan coated with oil clean with just water. You need detergent to release oil from surfaces. Urushiol oil stays potent for decades and you most likely have it everywhere from that chainsaw. I am highly allergic to PI too and I would not take the chance to let nature try to take care of it, but that is your choice. [email protected] |
