I too am suffering but think I've finally rounded that proverbial corner. Pretty sure I caught mine two weeks ago today..and after my G.P. prescribed me a low dose steroid (5 mg. prednisone) and tons of Caladryl and banana peels (don't ask) I thought I was getting better until yesterday when I noticed new patches (no blisters- just white raised areas).
So off I went to the dermatologist and this time he gave me a more powerful steroid (50 mg. of prednisone).
This time I think I've finally got it under control. My dermatologist says I have a pretty bad but classic case all over the back of my legs..but that the steroids should knock it out in a couple of days. I hope so- I'm off to the country this weekend and on vacation next week and I'd really like to stop wearing long pants and skirts sometime soon..especially in this heat. My advise- nuke it with powerful steroids asap and don't let anyone tell you it has to run it's course. It's not worth it!Good luck everyone!
