Because it has remained small I have doubt that it is from poison oak, I'd think more along the line of it being a sting of some sort? My rash started out as small but grew within 8 hours of contact and progressivly faster as I started scratching.
Relief from the itchyness is great after washing my rash areas in the shower with warm water, and like a previous post I am using a loofah (or luffa) sponge to scrub my infected area gently using pleanty of soap. Once out of the shower I pat dry the area and leave it alone till I can't ignore the itch any longer and I shower again... about every 4-5 hours. I've not been oviding the heat, in fact I went swimming and bike riding at the beach today for a couple of hours today and it didn't seem to bother me at all.
