I have an 11 year old daughter who seems to be highly sensitive to poison ivy. Last summer she had a reaction so badly that she had to take oral steroids for 10 days, which helped tremendously.

Two days ago, Friday night, she started developing a few red bumps on her face. Saturday she woke up with the tiny blisters and some swelling to her eyes. The problem is that she plays competitive softball and is playing in a zone tournament this weekend. It is EXTREMELY hot and humid where I live, and she has been sweating profusely. I know that this cannot be good for the rash, but we are unable to see our doctor until Monday, and I do not want to make a trip to the emergency room unless absolutely necessary.

Does anyone have any good ideas to slow down the spread of the rash until we can see our doctor on Monday? Especially considering that she will be playing one, if not two ballgames today? Any replies would be appreciated!
