| I scratched my poison ivy and I can tell that it spread from the scratching. Don't be stupid about scratching. Don't Do It. I have spots that I did not scratch and they did not spread. The areas that I did scratch did spread. I am not going to scratch the areas anymore. My hands were clean when I scratched. I know this. I think the poison was still in the blister and when I scratched it, the resulting seepage/liquid infected the skin right around the original area. The original area got much bigger and worse because it spread from scratching. Believe me, I would not lie to you! |
