That's how long it took for me, too, before poison oak rashes appeared. By the time I finally saw a doctor, it was too late for medications to help. Actually, it's just as well since the side effects worried me.

Like you, I had it badly on my arms (forearms). The first week was horrible blisters and weeping, and I spent a small fortune on gauze. Then that suddenly dried up and turned into a week of badly peeling skin. Really red and ugly looking. In short, it was a miserable two weeks. Now it's pretty much all gone. Incredible how the skin heals itself.

Hot water provided an amazing relief. I took 3 or 4 showers a day, and sometimes just stood by the sink running hot water over my arms.
