I noticed on your miscellaneous suggestion page that somone suggested appplying joint compound 1/8" thick over the affected area. This suggestion should be approached with caution, drywall compound is a gypsum-based plaster. As with all gypsum based compounds, plaster is a thermal set subsatnce. Some compounds have much different ratios and some can get extremely hot while setting up (1st possibly 2nd degree burns). the Curing temp. is not always specified on the material saftey data sheet.
Also I would strongly advise extremely hairy people to avoid this also. Although it sounds commical, there is probally nothing funny about trying to pry a ten inch stone pancake off your chest(especially when it is 350 degrees and burning off your flesh) I'm glad this remedy worked for Bill, anything that brings releif seems like a godsend when your suffering, but i would strongly advise against trying this -Brent Allman |
