I am at the tail end of a LOOONNG and systemic case of poison ivy. I had gotten a cortisone shot, was on 2 back-to-back 6-day Medrol packs (which caused the poison ivy to spread in a hives-like rash all over my body...even to areas that had not been originally exposed to the plant), and triamcinalone cream. The only thing that worked for me was Olux foam, prescribed by my dermatologist. This whole process has taken 5 weeks.
My question is.....Have any of you continued to itch after the rash has healed? It is not as bad as it was when the rash was there, but my skin feels "fragile", and I can scratch almost anywhere, and it feels like it itches.
I'm thinking that since I had a severe case, it's just going to take some time to completely get over this.
