| I am currently nursing my 2 month old son and have developed a case of poison ivy. I don't know how I was exposed to it. I do know that my husband had it when my son was born and for about 3 weeks after before for it cleared up. My rash is on my stomach, hips, and thighs and I have noticed a few spots on my left arm today. Can this spread to my son while I am feeding him (either by him rubbing up against my stomach or through the breast milk)? Also, does anyone know of any oral meds that are safe to take while nursing? I have zyrtec (sp?) from when I was pregnant, but I'm not sure if that will negatively effect my milk supply or if it will transfer to the baby. Any advice would be great. Thanks. |
