| The intensely itchy rash is often accompanied by swelling, bumps and blisters. After reaching their peak in several days, the blisters break and the oozing sores begin to crust over and disappear. A mild case may involve only a few small blisters, while a severe case may cause many large blisters, acute inflammation, fever, and/or inflammation affecting the face or GENITALS. The rash often forms a linear pattern. Exposed parts of the body, such as the hands, arms, and face, are the areas most likely to be affected. The rash rarely occurs on the scalp, palms of the hands, or soles of the feet because the outer skin there is very tough, and it is difficult for the plant oil to penetrate. |
