Hi everyone,
I am new to this site and thanks for all the useful info.
I've just moved to a new property here in Pearland, TX, and I found lots of poison ivy in the backyard. The trouble is the vines are so thick and very very long. They go up trees which are some 40ft high. I managed to cut the vines by sawing them off at the bottom of the trees as it was so difficult to uproot them. They are really thick, up to 4 inch in diameter!
How can I bring the vines down from the trees? Would they perhaps fall off after I cut them off at the bottom? My other problem is how to bag the stuff. Its not easy bagging lots of vines in trash bags. I guess the only way is to cut them to small pieces. I wish I could find experts to help me with this. Its causing a terrible rash to me and my wife.
