My dermatologist has a name for your condition, which I share. I can't recall the name. Perhaps someone else knows what we are talking about. The case which caused this reaction, unlike others, was on one hand. Since "curing" that case a PI-like infection has recurred from time-to-time on one hand and then the other between my fingers. My dermatologist prescribed what he calls "the hydrogen bomb" of steroid cream, which works fine. But it will scar the skin and is not a "cure", except for the immediate infection. It still returns. Maybe someone else can add to this discussion.
