Do not dig up or cut into PI when soil is dry, rhizomnes left behind and will sprout up again. Dig out when soil is wet. However if you are suseptible, do NOT dig or cut into the plant. Get someone else to do it. The damage to the plant, stem or roots is what causes the oil to secrete. Better to spray, leave alone for several days and carefully remove (oil still on dead plants). Best is Roundup or Kleenup (contains Glyphosate) or Amitrale or Weedazol (Amitrole), but last 2 will stay in soil for several weeks.
