| I don't know if it will offer you any comfort or not but I am in exactly the same situation you are in. A little more than a week since exposure. The itching has mercifully receded to a comparatively minor annoyance but since yesterday my calf and ankle have swollen hugely. I came to this site now for no other reason than to see if I shared this symptom with others or if it was unique to me only. Not to say I'm glad your ankle is swollen but frankly I'm a little relieved to read I'm not the only one! Perhaps this falls within the range of "normal" symptoms and is not something to be overly worried about. Like you, I would rather not go to the doctor at this stage in the game.
