I am regularly washing my heavily contaminated PI clothes - that I am using when pulling the PI roots out of teh ground - and I did not see the washing machine contaminated. Heavily contaminated clothes ( such as the gloves) could slightly contaminate the other laundry, so was the tent separately .
Use loads of detergent.
