Have 4" x 4" patch on my left arm. Contact with p.i. a week and half ago. Went through the pimples, blisters, yellow goo, and now fresh skin is growing under the dry, peeling skin.
Used calamine lotion (mildly helpful), chlorine bleach (two splashes over the yellow goo (Take that! Won't do that again), finally using Hydrocortisone 1% cream. Have cut the toes off white socks and worn them over the arm when going out in public. Am feeling human again....Incidentally, had worn rubber gardening gloves, and long-sleeved shirt and had washed every other exposed part of body with Fels Naptha soap, but the p.i. had worked into the slit near the cuff of the shirt, and had not washed that area 'cause...it was covered, don't y'know?! |
