Round-up works ok, doesn't stay in the soil, but i've heard the plants will come back and need more sprayings. Brush-b-gone has a different chemical that is more effective but gets into the soil for 6 months (meaning don't use it near a veggie garden and don't plant any new shrubs/plants nearby or they won't take).
