From what i've read, it doesn't have thorns. you may be looking at wild rasberry. poison ivy has three leaves, sometimes notched, and the middle leaf is ALWAYs at the end of a short stalk--meaning the three leaves don't sprout out from the same end of the stalk. they can be shiny, reddish, green, small or pretty big leaves. it looks like a pretty innocuous plant. this website has lots of pictures, i would peruse them and the look- alikes.
