In the middle of the worst PI outbreak in my life. As a kid I spent many weeks in bed from this horrible plant.
Its been over 10 yrs since I have gotten PI. Last Weds I was doing beach cleanup in my development and must have came into contact with it.
It's now 5 days later, and I have been to the doctor a few times. I am on oral steroids, hydrocortisone cream, and Penecillin as I started running a 102 fever which my doc said was a secondary infection.
I'd estimate it's on about 70% of my body.. My eyes were swollen for 3 days and feel better for the first time today.
The large patches on my forearm and knees look deep purple and look to be weeping, drying and crusting out.
Is there anything else I can do @ this point besides wait? My doctor tells me there will be no scarring. Is this true?
I'm 5 days into this, missed the 4th weekend, and don't see the light anywhere @ the end of this tunnel.
I have been told 2-3 weeks before it's had it's way with me...
