Oatmeal baths can relieve the itching. There are also lots of Aveeno (oatmeal based) products. Lotions and body wash and itch spray. They are effective on the poision ivy I have now. Experimenting with what works for you is sometimes all you can do. Some things seem to help me in certain stages and when I have it at its worst nothing but cool water will soothe. Be careful to test whatever you are using on a small area just in case it irritates. You can try many things...calamine lotion, Caladryl clear, Benedryl, GoldBond cream, aloe vera, if it gets severe you may need to go to the doctor for steroids. Applying cold water helped me when I was in the hospital with it. I would just experiment. Anything to get the itch away was my mindset but use common sense with it. Make sure all your clothing and dog are washed so you dont get rexposed. Good luck!
