Do "NOT" ( I repeat) not apply any bleach products to skin that has been exposed to poison ivy, oak or sumac.
It's not worth it - I dipped my fingers in a bowl of diluted bleach last summer for some much-hoped-for itch relief and I spent time off from work, hundreds of dollars in medical costs, and the pain was excruciating due to second (almost) third degree burns.
This was in July of last year and certain areas of my fingers on that hand are still scarred - probably will be the rest of my life.
Try anything but bleach - trust me.
Been there/done that. (but never again)
Any Doctor worth half his salt will not advise anyone to use bleach for itch relief from pison ivy.
