I have a well establish PI vine growing up a willow tree. The main part of the vine is over an inch in diameter and is entrenched in the bark of the tree. Last spring I sprayed any leaves within reach and those vines have died off. But the larger vines remain with leaves out of reach. How do I cut the large vine out of the tree with out damaging the tree? How do I kill off the vine? Can I cut the vine and apply chemicls to the end of the vine so the chemicals will get back to the roots? Will the chemicals (brush b gone)hurt a well established tree? I also had PI growing up side of our house. Got about half way up before I realized what it was. Successfully sprayed vines and killed them but vines are still on side of house. How long does it take for the leaves and vines to decay natural? Or is it best to cut them, pull them off and discard? Thanks for any suggestions.
