I started working outside in 1998 doing archaeology and land surveying. 1998 was the first summer I got poison ivy. Since then I've had it at least once a summer, but I've had it constantly this summer. I take the 12 day prednisone dose pack. It's the only thing that works. My breakouts are horrible, I even have scars. I asked at my doctor's office about a vaccine. They said it hasn't been made for about 10 years, due to low demand. But the nurse said she got vaccinated and it really worked. I would be very willing to lobby for this vaccination to be made again.
