Hi Mike...Having had poison Ivy many times my symptoms was always itching...Yes, with-in the same day...
I was highly allergic to it and in a couple of days my face would swell up so bad that I had to take steriods....
I had 2 dogs and apparently the dogs got into the ivy with me not knowing it.....I petted the dogs as usual and wow, what a mess I was a couple of days later...
Anyone burning poison ivy can come down with the symtoms of it.....(if they are allergic to it, that is)....
