We bought a 13 acre property and are in the process of clearing brush and saplings from a portion of it. I have found a number of poison ivy vines and it's popping up all over the ground at the perimeter of the woods. I have never had poison ivy rash before and after reading about it I'm very afraid now. My husband is the opposite and thinks I'm over-reacting and it's no big deal at all and seems to take no precautions at all. I plan to use a herbicide on every area where I see the plant growing. We have no house there and won't for at least another year and I wan't this gone from our planned fenced area before we move.
I guess I want to know how justified my intense fear is. I have read extensively about poison ivy and can readily identify it. |
