Hi Amy...
The more 'exposures' I have the more severe the outbreaks - or I could say, the older I become the more severe the outbreaks. Yes, I have other allergies, but I live in the heart of the midwest and in the middle of a cornfield with 100 acres of timber on the one side. I am blond and fairskinned - also had asthma as a child. Any similarities to you?
Like you, I have wondered I've wondered lies dormant in my system. The docs say one cannot get a breakout w/o contact - but I am not throoughly convincedof that. Thus, the pros say, if you touch PI, then scratch an unmentionable area - VOILA! It 'seemingly' does not spread from blister to blister.
Right now, I am covered and on my 3rd round of antibiotics - MISERABLE! The mushrooms are popping in our timbers, but I must stay out, as this outbreak caused swelling in my throat and eyes.
Peace,
