"My friend told me about IvyTox. He said it came in two vials and you took it one vial at a time over a few days. We can't find it. Did they stop marketing it or is it under a new name?
"

When I was a kid, I got poison ivy at camp so bad that I ended up in the hospital 2 years in a row. The third year I started using IvyTox 2 months before I went.

You took the first vial, then a week later the second one, then one a month after that. It was a vile tasting liquid, but while I was using it, I never once had poison ivy.

The FDA took it off the market because it didn't work for a high enough percentage of people or some lame thing like that. I personally think they need to butt out. Not all medications work for everyone, and if the company is willing to market the product for those it helps, then so be it.

Up until about 5 years ago I was able to get an injection at my allergist that kept me from getting poison ivy, but that's no longer available either.

It's a conspiracy I tell ya!
