I live in Baton Rouge, LA and have something in my yard that causes a itchy rash. I have not been able to identify the plant at all so am never sure where I get the rash from. (This time I think I got it from the dog) I can't believe I have it again in mid-December though. Does anyone know of any other contagious plants that might be in south Louisiana that causes similar rashes as poison ivy, oak or sumac. Also, is it really true that scatching the rash won't spread it?
