2 weeks ago I was working in some non poisonous ivy that had PI mixed in it. I was not careful at all and 3 days later I broke out on my wrists BADLY. There were a few tiny bumps in other places like my knuckles, but I guess I washed my hands well and not my wrists. It was awful for about 10 days, mostly getting worse each day, and now 2 weeks after exposure the original BAD sores are scabbing(still occasionally itchy), and healing.
However, suddenly starting 3 or 4 days ago, I got an itchy bump on my stomach and one on my chest. I ignored them as they seemed more like a minor bug bite than anything else. Now, as of yesterday, I have may rashy areas in the same place, on my stomach and arms. It's red and blotchy and there are bumps, not like the blisters I had on my wrists, but more like mosquito bites and they are painful.
What is going on???? I thought it was not spreadable once the oil is washed off. Why the delay in this ? Is it related most likely to my PI exposure, or could it be something else??
I thought I just had to wait until the sores on my wrists healed and that it's a myth that its contagious or spreadable.
I didn't go anywhere near PI after the one day I was in it. Why now almost 2 weeks later am I getting rashes?
