| I need help! I have been to the allergist and have been on Prednisone and methylprednisolone after a bad bout of PI on face hands and arms. I went on MP first for five days PI subsided and skin started healing but under the new skin there were bumps already forming, after going back to the allergist went on Prednisone 20mg for a week saw some improvement but as soon as I went off it, have reocurring symptoms and bumps. The allergist is not convinced it is systemic and says I am reinfecting myself and I am assuring him that I have become vigilent since my first bad episode two years ago, and have washed linens, towels etc. many times over and keep alcohol pads everywhere to ward off spreading this monster! I know that this is in my system and I would like anyone with any suggestions to let me know what to do next. I am starting to lose my mind the itch and sheer exhaustion from trying to raise a family (three childern under 6) and treat this horrible rash is taking it's toll, I have medical topical creams and have tried several suggestions, to no avail, this summer I have battled PI twice and each time it has never fully gone away! As new skin forms the PI returns! Could it be looming under several layers of the dermis? Or has it just invaded my lymphatic system? Thanks, for any thoughts!! |
