Carli,
I too have a bad case of one of the poisons, ivy or oak, I'm not sure which. The only time I would have come in contact with it was 13 days prior to breakout. The day before it errupted, I took an RX (generic for Bactrim DS) sulfameth/trimethoprim, and I thought I was having a reaction to the drug because blisters was one of the side effects. O went to the doctor two days later and she asked if I had been doing yardwork because it looked like poison ivy or oak. I can never recall having this but I guess wonders never cease. My husband gets this easily but his looks more like a rash, mine is in clusters of blisters on different spots of my arms, legs, and tummy. I'm wondering if the med caused this to surface. She told me to do the oatmeal bath and take an antihistimine, Clarinex. Also, to dab peroxide on the blisters to dry them rather than have them break. Hope you are not too uncomfortable. I find when I shower if I let the warmest water I can stand spray on them, it sort of relieves it. feel better, ml |
