| I'm fairly certain that what I've got is poison ivy, and I'm guessing that I got it at Walden Pond 3 weeks ago. Within two or three days of visiting there, I found four or five large (but not especially raised) bumps on my arms, which I took for insect bites. They stayed with me an abnormally long time, though, and over the past ten days or so (1 1/2 weeks after my visit) I've noticed more and more bumps. In the last two days, this has turned into an itchy (but not vibrant red) rash on both forearms, my belly, and my thighs. The itching isn't terrible, at least not yet, and I haven't seen any blisters or oozing; the older spots seem to be surrounded with flakes of dry skin. Does this sound like a relatively mild case of poison ivy/oak/sumac to anyone else? |
