No, not all urushiol oil induced rashes ooze. The thing to remember is that this is a allergic reaction. The reaction and rashes vary from person to person and time to time. Do you know if you came in contact with poison ivy / oak / sumac? Did you know that other plants and chemicals can also cause a similar allergic reaction? This is allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) and is an immune system reaction to the urushiol oil bonding with the skin. There are other ways to cause allergic contact dermatitis. This is one of those areas where you might need to do some sleuthing to determine what exactly caused the rash. |
