Thanks, John, for sharing your story. You certainly have my sympathy and understanding.
But I question the attribution of your "cure" to the use of steroids. What makes you think that taking these substances had any effect at all on the progress of your rashes? For almost everyone, poison ivy is self-limiting.
General question: can anyone on this Board cite peer-reviewed studies supporting claims of the efficacy of Prednisone for (what I will call) "routine" cases of urushiol poisoning?
