I don't know anything about Olux or the oatmeal bath but (at the risk of repeating my windy self) take some time to do some reading and asking around before you start taking Prednisone. My opinion is that it's often an overly aggressive approach with scant assurance that it will help. Some have wondered aloud if it might even make some people's suffering worse! And, just for laughs, ask your dermatologist if he, himself, has ever taken Prednisone. Ask him if it's appropriate to "turn down" your immune system to treat an ailment that will usually go away by itself in a short time. Also ask if he can cite even one reputable study to demonstrate that this drug is more likely than not to cause a "marked improvement" in your condition. It's your call, but just be sure that your decision is an informed one and not simply one of following the doctor's orders. Now, if you're swollen up and having difficulty walking or breathing or seeing...then perhaps you ARE a candidate for Prednisone therapy.
