| I got into poison ivy a week ago last Sunday. On Wednesday I suddenly looked as though a mosquito had been trapped in my clothes and I had "bites" all over my legs and forearms. By Friday, they were growing water blisters and starting to seep and I determined they were poison ivy. By Monday they were hot and infected so I went to the doctor and got a nine day perscription for Predinsone and some Cephylexin for the infection. The problem: They don't really itch much any more, but they still look disgusting. They don't look as angry as they did Monday but they are still big blisters some the size of quarters. How long until they go away and look at least normal enough to not be really gross? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process. This question is mostly cosmetic, I just want to be able to wear shorts and skirts the rest of the summer... |
