| My latest case took about 2 wks for the itching to stop, just two days ago, but the swelling and scarring will take 2-3 months at least. I had alot of swelling this time. I agree, if it's not resolving at two weeks, or seems to be getting alot worse at any time, go to the doctor. My worst case became very severe after about 2-3 wks of trying to treat at home and I had already been to a doctor who didn't think it needed steroids. I ended up with a case that took 6 months before my skin looked anything like normal and had to be on steroids for about 8 wks. It took years for the skin to go back to normal and I have one large scar still. |
