I have just been to the dermatologist because I suddenly broke out almost exactly to the day from last year and the year before. He said he couldn't explain it. I do play golf but it seemed so bizarre that I would not get any poison ivy before now and in the past two seasons I never had a recurrence although I play at the same course. I actually don't remember even touching poison ivy the first time.
My "rash" is very unlike most people's poison ivy in that suddenly a few itchy bumps appeared in one spot and then a couple additional places every day with no rhyme nor reason. Fortunately I have not had it to the same extent you have, but it certainly is a nuisance. I have just been prescribed Prednisone so I am hoping it will go away fairly quickly.
The doctor actually said to me to call him if I break out again on August 5 next year! |
