Dragon...have you considered that your use of Prednisone has actually PROLONGED the duration of your poison oak rash (despite any short-term relief it may have provided)?
Let me put it another way: have you asked your doctor to explain WHY she has prescribed Prednsione for your rash? Ask her what the drug is supposed to do and how it's supposed to do it. I'd be very interested in her explanation. While you're at it, please ask her if she, herself, has ever experienced a poison oak outbreak and, if so, did she take Prednisone for it.
