I have had systemic poison oak rash (well spots) for over a month and its spread over all parts of my body. I am now on Prednisone for the third time in the last month. I was using triamcinolon ointment alone for 10 days, but my rash was still spreading slowly but steadily. My point is that when I started the prednisone again, the dermatologist would not allow me to continue using the skin ointment. She said she did not feel comfortable with the idea using the ointment while on the pills. The doctors assistant asked the doctor if I could use clobetasol and she did not want me to use it with the prednisone?
My question to you is how much prednisone did you take a day and how bad was your rash/spots that convinced the doctor to let you use both of them together? |
