| Our family was camping for the last 2 weeks and my son got his first case of poison ivy, he's 10. After several days of his itching unitl his legs were bleeding it finally dawned on me it was poison ivy. We saw a MD in the town we were near and recieved an Rx for Prednisone. I was reluctant to fill the script for such a potent drug so we treated topically and with Benadryl.Now, a week later and it's back worse than ever. It now covers most of his body. Has anyone any thoughts about the recurance and Prednisone in kids. Anything would be appreciated. |
