Seems like a lot of things in the woods can cause a rash but have you considered Lyme disease? Problem with Lyme is that symptoms can vary per person. I had the classic bull's eye rash followed by painful but distinctive flu like symptoms: high fever, terrible headache and muscle/bone pain. Doxycyclin (sp?) cleared it up quickly and 7 years later, I don't think I have suffered any long lasting effects. Check out the latest Lyme info online and monitor yourself to make sure no possible symptoms develop later.
One last comment....where you live also determines your potential for Lyme....I live in CT, the epicenter for Lyme activity but I hear that's not much of a problem in the South... |
