Hi Cliff,
Just got back from urgent care where I learned that poison ivy DOES enter your blood stream. If your immune system is not strong enough it will keep popping up in different places on your body. Systemic is what they called it. I was told that I would not have been able to get rid of it on my own (I'm a cancer survivor with a compromised immune system.)
So a cortisone shot and 12 days of steroids will hopefully do the trick.
