If spending three hours looking at every picture in the site was enough to answer my question, I wouldn't have asked it. Like you, I found this site to have a wealth of information and am very glad to have found it. However, I did my "research" and I think it would be more helpful to answer the question than for you to wonder if Bill or myself has seen all the pictures. I'm looking for help, not to be patronized.
In the section where people send in pictures and ask for identification, one of the most frequent responses is that on poison ivy, the middle stem leaf is long and the next two are alternating, whereas on lookalike plants, the leaves are opposite. I looked at every single picture in this site and couldn't see what they were referring to. Even if you look at the slogan above (on the top of this page), the picture of poison ivy on the right sure looks to me like the leaves are opposite, not alternating.
