Hi Susan -

It certainly could be poison ivy. Poison ivy is a highly variable plant. There are regional differences as well as differences amongst plants within the same region. I have seen vines with no red whatsoever in early growth. Yet only a 1/4 mile away were poison ivy vines with reddish leaflets. The fruit is greenish early on then turns to a whitish, creamish color. The flowers are tiny little things that are yellowish in color. And the plant in the right conditions grows FAST - probably not as fast as Kudzu but certainly a contender.
